Thank you for your interest in David’s House Ministries, a Christian home for severely multi-impaired adults.

Since 1987 we have been providing quality adult foster care for men and women with varying levels of disability.  One of the hallmarks of our ministry from the early days was to provide care for those individuals who “fall through the cracks” of the current services available.  It all started when Rev. Jay and Lois De Boer were unable to secure placement in a Christian home for their multi-impaired son, David because he was in a wheelchair.  Out of this need and with the involvement of many other people as well as a sponsoring organization, Honey Creek Christian Homes, a board was formed and plans were put in motion.  This new organization would not only meet the needs of the De Boer family, but would also be an answer to prayer for many other families to whom the Lord had given moderately to severely impaired children. 

Through the years, we have been constantly challenged to adapt and change our programs and facilities to better meet the needs of the families the Lord calls us to serve.  As we change programs, buildings and even methods; we ask you to pray for us that the fundamental principals and beliefs on which the ministry was founded will never change.  We believe that a loving God creates each person and for reasons that we do not fully understand, some of these are born with special needs.  It then becomes our responsibility as followers of the Lord Jesus Christ to make every effort to meet their unique needs in a way that honors Him and brings comfort, encouragement and security to the ones placed in our care.
