House III Construction is almost finished...

"When is it going to be done?"

This question is often asked.  We are now finished with most of the work and now just completing some of the finishing touches.  It shouldn't be too long and we'll have our occupancy permit.  

It is humbling to realize that over $2,000,000 in material and labor has been donated along with $1,500,000 in financial gifts.  It has been truly remarkable to watch and be part of the community coming together to support the work and vision here at D.H.M.

So when can we move in? 

     As we move ahead toward opening the home, we realize there will be some one-time costs associated with start up.  In order to help unsure that we can keep the home free of debt, we have arrived at the figure of $200,000 we as staff and board believe is an amount that would be prudent to have on hand or pledged before we can commence operations.
